Polka-dot Princess

  Polka dots and feathers equal total cuteness! The "line" flowers had black and white polka dot ribbon. The Bride and Groom had a touch of feather in theirs! This was a fun wedding :)

Lilac

                                     I used her Grandma's handkerchief, and her parents wedding rings.
                                               I thought it was a great "personal" touch.

This wedding was great! It happened to be during the (late) lilac season, so we took full advantage of them! The were gorgeous. The reception was held at The Lomond View Nursery-- BEAUTIFUL! It is such a cool place. I got to make pomander's for the back drop and I loved them! So fun. The big one was so heavy and I just hoped it wouldn't rip apart and land on someones head!

My latest project

I hope you are as excited about these bows as I am! I've been wanting to make the vintage look bows for a while now. Well I finally had a nudge to do so and I am addicted! I may even set up an Etsy shop :)

Sandy Wilson. Feb. 5th 2011

The Wilson's are such a special family. I was honored to make the casket spray, and more. Her death was such a shock that even after attending the funeral its all surreal to me. Her husband and kids will have a difficult time for a while, but her spirit is so strong I know she won't be far away! They all spoke at the funeral and did an amazing job! Perfect tributes to such a perfect woman!

Sandy was always happy and loved life! Her family wanted her flowers to be bright- just like her! I fell in love with the yellow calla lily's and had to use them. I also used Roses, Oriental lily's, gerbers, snapdragons, solidaster, lily grass, trachilium, alstromeria, pixies, daisy's and tulips.

Its important to me to make these flowers special. Something that will be fondly remembered as a last tribute.
